Strongsville Freedom Trail
The Strongsville Freedom Trail is one of the largest veteran memorials in Ohio, a mile long trail featuring gardens that represent the wars in which Americans have fought. This paved path connects the Commons (town center) with the Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center; and acts as a timeline through history. Gardens dot the trail and symbolize the various conflicts.

The Strongsville Historical Society worked diligently to assemble the names of men and women from Strongsville that have served our Country. A directory of Strongsville’s war veterans is located in the Freedom Tail Gazebo. The gazebo is accessed via the “Walk of Valor”, a brick path way that is engraved with the names of veterans from Strongsville, the branch of service and the period of time or conflict they served. Brickscan be purchase for $50, all proceeds benefit upkeep of the trail.

These gardens are living reminders that our Freedoms were secured through the sacrifices of others.   They are also symbols of what our veterans fought for: peace.
