Tobacco Free Policy

TOBACCO FREE POLICY FOR ALL CITY-OWNED PROPERTY

In order that we may properly promote the health, safety and wellness of our employees, to eliminate the well-known risks attendant to second-hand smoke, as well as to enhance the quality of life of all those whom we serve including residents who may visit our public city facilities and related areas, the City of Strongsville establishes a tobacco-free workplace environment effective October 1, 2013.

The City of Strongsville intends to further its efforts in creating a culture of wellness by providing a safe, healthy and respectful working environment for our employees, residents, and visitors.

As more communities, businesses, and schools seek to establish tobacco free environment policies, the City of Strongsville is committed to establishing an environment that may be seen by its peers as a model tobacco free workplace to be emulated.

By establishing this tobacco free workplace environment the City of Strongsville is further demonstrating its commitment to health and wellness initiatives that are not only beneficial to our employees but to the greater community of Strongsville as a whole.
