10th Annual Child Safe Community Day Fair 4/13/2014
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - This free event at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center, presented by the Rotary Club of Strongsville, features mini-clinics on safety, free child ID kits, an Easter egg hunt, photos with the Easter bunny, games, inflatables, face painting and prizes. Free and open to all.

Historic Village Tours 4/16/2014
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - The STRONGSVILLE HISTORIC VILLAGE is open for TOURS beginning April16 until October 15, 2014 on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. until 2:30pm. Cost (donation) for tours is Adults $5 Seniors $4 Children $3 (5-12) Located in the center of town on two acres at 13305 Pearl Rd. just two blocks North of Royalton Rd. in Strongsville.
Learn about the founding of Strongsville and its history by touring eight historic buildings including four historic homes, a log cabin, general store, doll museum, hat museum, academy, and barn that span the era from 1816 to 1917. Exhibits of local and Ohio history feature artifacts from Strongsville’s original founders, furnished period rooms and more. So you think you have it bad weather- wise here in Strongsville this winter! On April 22 at 7 pm in the Lathrop House in The Strongsville Historic Village will be the dramatic presentation of the blizzard of 1888 in the Great Plains and its effects in the Eastern United States. Our featured speakers are Cathie Clager and her cohort Rita Wolansky. This is not a power point show but an energetic “Ken Burns Type” researched offering. All area residents are invited. Drug Take-Back Day 4/26/2014
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM - The Strongsville Police Department will again participate in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Bring your old or unneeded prescription medication (pills only; no liquids) to the police station parking lot for safe disposal. Turning in old medication keeps it from falling into the wrong hands and from polluting waterways.
