City of Strongsville Records Commission Meeting 12/3/2014
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - The City of Strongsville Records Commission will meet at 10 a.m. Dec. 3 at the Strongsville Municipal Offices and Service Center, 16099 Foltz Parkway, in the Mayor's Conference Room. The commission will consider records retention schedules and requests for disposal of documents for various city departments, to be directed to the Ohio Historical Society and state auditor, if required by law; and to discuss related subjects. Chamber of Commerce Holiday Scholarship Dance 12/5/2014
7:00 PM - 12:00 AM - Purchase your dance tickets at The Chamber of Commerce Office or online at strongsvillechamber.com.
Cost is $350 for a table of ten, or $70 per couple or $35 per person. The annual event is at Michaud's.
Doors open at 7 p.m. The evening festivities will include:
Music by Newsmaker. Cash bar, silent auction, food stations by Don's Pomeroy House, Shinto & Old Carolina Barbecue, plus a martini bar. Proceeds of the Scholarship Dance benefit our local school students by providing higher education scholarships to graduating seniors. Nineteen scholarships were awarded to Strongsville High School graduates last year and donations were made to the to Sts.Joseph & John School’s Media Center and the Polaris Education Foundation.


Breakfast with Santa 12/6/2014
9:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Have breakfast with the Jolly Old Elf himself at this popular event, presented by the Strongsville Recreation Department and Rotary Club of Strongsville in the Event Center at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center. Meal includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. Tickets go on sale Nov. 3. Under age 1 is free; kids 1-2 are $5; 3 and older are $8.

The eight buildings and the grounds in the Village will be decorated in the style that covers the 150 years the village represents. Tell Santa your wishes, view the model railroad display, make gingerbread houses with Girl Scouts, buy some presents at the Olds General Store, enjoy Mrs. Claus' refreshments, participate in a settler’s celebration with the pioneer family in the log cabin and more. Family Holiday Craft Program 12/6/2014
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM - Hear some great holiday stories and visit various crafting station to make gifts or create decorations at this program at the Strongsville Library. Each family will be asked to bring in a a candy decoration to share with the group (suggestions will be offered when you register). 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - The Strongsville Historical Society will host its annual Christmas Teas on Dec. 6 and 7 in the restored and decorated “painted lady” Victorian Lathrop House in the Historical Village, located at the corner of Zverina Drive and Pearl Road. An assortment of teas will be served with delicately made sandwiches and highly desired desserts. There will be a Basket Raffle along with Christmas entertainment. The Village will be open after the teas for guests to enjoy the decorations in the buildings and grounds. Guests will be invited to shop for Strongsville memorabilia and Deganhart Glass in the Olds General Store. Free parking is adjacent. Call Betty at 440-238-0698 for tickets and reservations. Cost is $20.

Chamber of Commerce Holiday Luncheon 12/16/2014
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM - The Strongsville High School Mustang Express Choir will be performing at the Annual Holiday Luncheon of the Strongsville Chamber of Commerce. The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 11:30 a.m., at the Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center, 18100 Royalton Road, Strongsville, Ohio 44136.
