Vintage Tool Sale 9/13/2014
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM - Are you in the market for old tools or hardware? The Strongsville Historical Society recently completed a barn renovation and now has excess vintage tools, hardware and building materials to sell. There will be hundreds of items to sort through - carpentry tools, farming tools, hardware, solid wood six panel doors, wood frame windows, etc. The sale is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Historical Village, 13305 Pearl Rd., 44136.


VFW Post 3345 Community Day 9/13/2014

Friends of Strongsville Library Fall Book Sale 9/20/2014
10:00 AM - 3:00 PM - The annual fall book sale includes lots for books, audio visual materials, magazines and more for all ages. Friends of Strongsville Branch Library will be admitted at 9 a.m. -- an hour early -- to browse and buy. Friends memberships will be available at the door for $8 and run for a year. The sale is followed on Sept. 21 from 1-4 p.m. and 22 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. by the Bag of Books Sale, where customers can fill a 15-by-15-inch bag for $2; or on Monday, fill a Friends' plastic bag for only $1.

Breakfast on the Covered Bridge 9/21/2014
7:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Join the Strongsville City Club for breakfast on the Ehrfelt Covered Bridge, located at Whitney and Valley Parkway in the Cleveland Metroparks. Advance tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for kids 10 and under; that day, tickets are $8 and $5. Park at RTA Park-n-Ride and take a free shuttle to event. Menu includes scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, hash browns, pastry, coffee, orange juice and milk.

A Day at the Chalet 9/21/2014

Drug Take-Back Day 9/27/2014
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM - Strongsville Police will participate in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. Bring your expired or unneeded prescription medication (pills only; no liquids) to the police station for proper disposal. Enter off Pearl at Westwood. Officers will be in the front parking lot; no need to get out of your car.
