City of Strongsville Seal

The Strongsville Police Department's K-9 unit program began in 1995.  Each K-9 is assigned to one of the three shifts; days, afternoons and  nights. Some of the K-9's duties include narcotic detection, tracking wanted or lost people, article searches, building searches and criminal apprehension. In addition, the K-9 officers/handlers are available to do lectures and demonstrations for many groups such as civic organizations and school functions.

Cash is proud of his seizure in February 2005: 59lbs of marijuana from drug interdiction efforts on I-71. Cash also worked with Medina Twp. this year and found $13,000.00 of suspected drug related money.
