Community Emergency Response Team

The City of Strongsville is developing an emergency response team under the Citizens’ Corps Program. Volunteers are needed to help out in Strongsville during a serious emergency that would require a greater response than can normally be provided by Strongsville City employees.  Volunteers will be assigned to positions where their skills can be best used.

All citizens age 18 and older are invited to apply to the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team). There is a special need at this time for volunteers with skills that could assist in a mass immunization of all citizens.  Community organizations, church groups and other similar groups are also encouraged to volunteer.  Citizens interested in obtaining more information are asked to call (440) 580-3210 to register their names for notification of future organizational meetings.
