Strongsville Remembers 9/11

The Strongsville fire and police departments led a remembrance service for the the 2,974 victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The ceremony, which took place Sept. 11, 2018 at Station 4, included the Tolling of the Bells and the playing of 'Taps.' The other three fire stations participated via radio.
Fire Chief Jack Draves and Police Chief Mark Fender both spoke briefly, and Fr. Joe Mamich, the chaplain for the safety forces, offered a prayer for the victims and survivors.
The fire department holds the remembrance every year.
