Strongsville Solicitor Check List
Step 1: IMPORTANT! Please read the Strongsville Codified Ordinances Regarding Solicitation
Step 2: Download or Generate a the “Solicitor’s Identification Permit” application
Step 3: Attach 2 color copies of your Driver’s License, State ID or 2 photograph portraits approximately 1 ½ inch x 1 ½ inch.
Step 4: Drop off the application at the Strongsville Police Department (Map) prior to having your fingerprint analysis done.
Step 5: Arrange for fingerprint analysis at any of the available web check locations listed on the Ohio Attorney General’s website (www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov; under “Services” click on “Webcheck Locations”)
Each applicant shall be required to have a fingerprint analysis by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) AND the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The results of said fingerprint analysis MUST be sent directly by the web check location to the Chief of Police for the Strongsville Police Department (18688 Royalton Rd., Strongsville OH 44136). A fingerprint analysis that is done by any web check location for any other municipality or government agency may be used for the application herein, provided that said fingerprint analysis was completed within ninety (90) days of the date of the application filed with the City of Strongsville.
Step 6: Once the fingerprint analysis is received by the Chief of Police or his representative and a Solicitor’s Permit is authorized, a Strongsville Solicitor’s ID Badge will be provided to the each applicant, provided that a $25 application fee (paid to City of Strongsville) is paid when the applicant or their designee comes to pick up their Solicitor’s ID Badge.
