Winter Wonderland Lighting Celebration is Nov. 24 on the Commons

Everyone is invited to the Winter Wonderland Lighting Celebration on the Commons on Nov. 24, 2019. The fun starts at 5:30 p.m., when Mayor Tom Perciak lights up the entire Commons, the clocktower, gazebo and giant Christmas tree.
That's followed by a spectacular holiday fireworks show. Then Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage to meet with kids in their Sparkle Palace.
There will be costumed characters roaming around, including some new ones, like Woody and Buzz Lightyear, gingerbread men, Rudolph, a marching band bear, and Cindy Lou Who, who will join the Grinch.
There will be a brand-new walk-through display on the Commons this year, too, as well as live reindeer and free hot cocoa and snacks.
Guests can ride a train or a horse-drawn carriage along Freedom Trail, and can also visit the Historical Society next door, which will be decked out for the holidays and will be open to welcome guests.
The festivities will wrap up about 8 p.m.
No pets at this event, please.
