The city has planted a tree in honor of the late Ward 1 Councilman Michael Daymut.
The memorial is located on Freedom Trail, near the gazebo.
Daymut was first elected to council in 1992, resigning a few days before his death in November 2018. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
