On September 3, 2021, Mayor Thomas P. Perciak announced the launch of the Strongsville Town Center Enhancement and Walkability Initiative.

In December 2021, a plan for the first phase of the Town Center Enhancement and Walkability Initiative was released:
Town Center Enhancement and Walkability Initiative.



On August 16, 2023, ground was broken for the project in a ceremony attended by local, county and state elected officials, as well as business leaders and representatives of civic groups who securied grants or donated funds to make the Town Center improvement a reality. Opportunities to Help

 
To help fund the initiative, the City of Strongsville is seeking local, regiional and state grants. In addition, a violunteer committee of Strongsville  business leaders and representatives from civic organizations has been created to raise money locally for the new amenities.

Strongsville Town Center Studies


In preparation for future area enhancements, the City of Strongsville has partnered with expert third-party planning organizations to study the area.  Listed below are links to the completed studies.

Strongsville Master Plan (May 2019) - Prepared in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission, the Master Plan details the enhancement and connection of the Town Center (pg. 80-84).

Strongsville Wayfinding Analysis Report (May 2019) - Prepared in partnership with Guide Studio, the Wayfinding Analysis Report highlights strategies to identify City amenities through proper signage and branding.

Strongsville Town Center District Redevelopment Plan (August 2015) - Prepared in partnership with the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), the Town Center District Redevelopment Plan details ways to improve connectivity and walkability, as well as redevelopment strategies for the Town Center.  The plan has been a critical component in the recent redevelopment of the Town Center, detailing the need for improved crosswalks, as well as the reconfiguring of the Royalton Road/Pearl Road intersection.

Strongsville Walkable Community Workshop Report (February 2009) - Prepared in partnership with the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), the Strongsville Walkable Community Workshop Report focuses on creating an environment that supports pedestrians and bicyclists at the Town Center.  Many of the recommendations in the report have been implimented.
