Winter Wonderland Lighting Celebration

November 24, 2019 | 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM
The annual Winter Wonderland Lighting Ceremony will kick off the holiday season in Strongsville on Nov. 24. Mayor Tom Perciak will light up the Commons, a giant Christmas tree, the gazebo and clocktower at 5:30 p.m., followed by a spectacular holiday fireworks show and the arrival of Santa, who will meet with kids in his Sparkle Palace. There will also be costumed characters, live reindeer, free hot cocoa and snacks, and horse-drawn carriage rides to the Strongsville Historical Village next door, which will also be decked out for the holidays. NEW THIS YEAR: Download the Loomie app on your phone for nice photo filters/effects and for cool games kids can play while they're waiting in line for Santa. They can also help Private Rudolph save Christmas by finding clues at various locations on the Commons with the app.The event is free and open to everyone.
