Protecting Our Employees & Visitors
At the Mayor Perciak's direction, additional steps have been taken to maintain the safety of employees and visitors. The administration has contracted the services of a local company, MicroShield 360, to treat and protect the contact surfaces a various locations throughout the city.
This anti-microbial, disinfectant, protective coating is effective on these treated surfaces for up to a year. This will protect against exposure to 99.9 percent of known pathogens such as the common cold, flu, strep and norovirus including he COVID-19 virus, as proven in a recent independent European lab test. The application process is colorless, odorless, environmentally friendly, EPA registered and approved by the FDA.
Locations treated at this time are the Recreation and Senior Center, Council Chambers, police facilities, City Hall and Service Center, and the Southwest Dispatch & Communications Center. Additional locations are anticipated to be completed in the near future.
