Department Wins Mission Lifeline Gold Award Again

Strongsville Fire and Emergency Services received the American Heart Association’s  2024 Mission: Lifeline EMS Gold Award-Target Heart Attack Honor Roll for its commitment to offering rapid research-based care for the most severe forms of heart attacks.  This year marks the 10th year SFES has been recognized by the AHA for its stellar practice, making life-saving differences concerning cardiovascular emergencies.

To receive the Gold designation indicates the highest level of achievement available to Emergency Services throughout the nation.

Although SFES received this prestigious award, a lot of the credit belongs to the individuals who find the courage to make a difference. They provide the first three links in the Chain of Survival. These individuals have been instrumental in Recognizing cardiac arrests and Activating the emergency response providers. Upon arrival, we find them providing High Quality CPR and if available, Rapid Defibrillation.

The department is fortunate to partner with Southwest General to provided a very active community AHA CPR program to businesses, churches, and residents to teach and empower individuals to make a difference.
