The 2026 Strongsville Fire Academy for Kids is a free program for children who live in Strongsville and are ages 10-11 at the time of the academy.
The academy is a six-hour program that allows children to learn and participate in skills related to the fire and EMS fields such as CPR, fire extinguisher use and many other evolutions, with a free lunch provided.
It is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The academy will be held June 8 and 10 at Strongsville Fire Station 4, 17000 Prospect Road, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Registration begins
April 1, 2025.
Each day, the academy will host 21 children for a total of 42 participants over the two days. If there is enough interest in the program, June 11 and possibly June 12 will be added. Requests for dates will be considered, but due to the first-come, first-served basis, honoring requests are difficult and dates are assigned.
To register, please send your request for participation to
kids.academy@strongsville.org with a parent/guardian name, child’s name, child’s age and a working phone number. The academy is open to new recruits only.
REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED BEFORE APRIL 1 WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Please allow one week for notification regarding acceptance into the academy and be certain to
check your junk and spam folders for a response.
