SAFETY TOWN 2021 REGISTRATION INFORMATION – ON-LINE ONLY
Safety Town is a Strongsville Police Program. The Strongsville Rotary and other civic groups sponsor this program. Safety Town is not mandatory prior to entering kindergarten but is an excellent opportunity for the children to explore their community through class activities and field trips while learning important safety precautions.
Registration will open on April 1, 2021 for Strongsville residents and/or those who attend a Strongsville school and will be starting kindergarten this year. Registration for non-residents (depending on space availability) will begin on April 22. All Registration will be on-line. A non-refundable fee of $50 per child is required at time of registration. The Waiver & Release form will also be part of the on-line registration process.
Safety Town classes will be held rain or shine at the beautiful Safety Town village, on the West side of the Strongsville Recreation Center behind the Senior Center near the baseball fields. Safety Town 2021 Sessions and Class Times (on a fist come bases subject to availability):
Session One -- June 7-11; 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 6-8 p.m.
Session Two -- June 14-18; 8:30 to10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Session Three -- June 21-25; 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Session Four -- July 12-16; 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Session Five -- July 19-23; 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Session Six -- July 26-30; 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
All classes have size limits so once it reaches capacity it will no longer be available. The Safety Town on-line sign-up is on the City of Strongsville website under the Police Department. Here is a link for you convenience: https://forms.strongsville.org/safety-town-registration/. It will become active on April 1, 2021.
Please note that children with Special Needs may require a 1:1 aide that will be provided by the parent. If your child has any special emergency medication requirements (i.e. EpiPen, etc. please be sure to note this on the registration. We are doing more classes this year and they will be smaller than normal. We will also practice Social Distancing.
