Memory Loss Support Group
1st Wednesday of the month 9:15am Free
Are you looking for support when dealing with memory loss? This group is open to caregivers of individuals with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, spouses, family members, or friends. Jennifer Nance from Kemper House will be running this helpful support group, all are welcome to join with any questions they may have or come to learn more about the disease. If you are caring for, or know someone with dementia, this support group is for you. Registration is required- please call 440-580-3275 to register.
Medicare Counseling
Join the experts at The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) as they sit one on one with you and answer all your Medicare questions. Participants can come to the presentation or just make an appointment for a counseling session. See if you qualify for certain Medicare Benefits or just learn more about the Health Insurance. All appointments will be held at the Senior Center. Please call 440-580-3275 to make your appointment.
Benefits Bank
The Department of Senior and Adult Services can help you apply for food benefits. Find out if you are eligible for 20 different money saving programs including SNAP (Supplementary Nutrition Assistance Program), HEAP, Ohio Best Rx, Medicare, Medicaid, and more. Appointments are required. Bring proof of income, state ID and any current bills. Call the Senior Center at 440-580-3275 for an appointment time.
Strongsville Low Vision Support Group
Our monthly meetings are a combination of an in-person meeting and a telephone conference call. Each participant can select whether to attend in person at the Senior Center or to connect to the meeting by phone.
