Roadways leading to the Strongsville Rec Center, Strongsville Library, Historical Village and Strongsville Food Bank will be closed this spring as work begins on a roundabout in the Town Center area.
All buildings will still be easily accessible, but will be accessed from one entrance only.
Zverina Lane, Westwood Drive and Roe Lane will all be closed near the area of the existing three-way stop where the three streets meet. The existing intersection will be replaced with a roundabout.
Work will start around March 1 and last about three months.
During construction, the city's Communications Center, the Historical Village and Strongsville Food Bank will be reachable from Zverina Lane, which runs off Pearl Road.
The police station, City Council chambers, Mayor's Court and Strongsville Library will be accessible from Westwood Drive, which also runs off Pearl.
The Rec and Senior Center will be accessed from Royalton Road, using the entrance to the Greens of Strongsville shopping center.
Work on the other parts of the Town Center Enhancement and Walkability Initiative -- including a pavilion, splash pad, a playground and tennis, pickleball, basketball and volleyball courts -- will continue through the spring as well.
