Schaeffler Group, a leading global supplier to the automotive and industrial sectors, marked the opening of its Strongsville warehouse and distribution center on Royalton Road with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and welcoming event June 1, 2023.
Local, state and federal officials attended the event, which included remarks by Georg Schaeffler, chairman of Schaeffler Group, and Lydia Mihalik, director of the Ohio Department of Development. Mayor Tom Perciak participated in the ribbon-cutting.
There were also tours of the 316,000-square-foot facility, which employs about 110 people in the company's automotive aftermarket division.
Schaeffler manufactures high-precision components and systems for engine, transmission and chassis applications as well as rolling and plain bearing solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.
