Expect NOPEC Enrollment Letters in the Mail

NOPEC subscribers and new electric customers will receive enrollment letters in early April, as required every three years by the PUCO.
If you are a new or existing NOPEC member and wish to participate in the aggregation program, you do not need to take action. If you do not, the letter will contain instructions for opting out.
The initial price for NOPEC's Standard Program product for Ohio Edison/The Illuminating Company customers for the three-month period from the June through August 2026 meter read dates will be 9.999 cents/kWh. That price is forecasted to be well below the utility's Standard Service Offer (SSO) pricing over that period.
Customers can also choose fixed-term pricing for longer periods, currently set at 9.799 cents/kWh for 12 months and 10.199 cents/kWh for 24 months.
For more information, you can call NOPEC’s Customer Care Center at 855-667-3201, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
