Development, insects and diseases have impacted our community’s urban forest. Through a grant from Cuyahoga County, the city of Strongsville is able to offer residents one FREE tree to plant on their property.
There are 100 trees available. The program is on a first come, first served basis. One tree per property owner. Participants are REQUIRED to attend a tree planting workshop, so they can learn how to plant their new tree.
Trees (in a 3 gallon container), along with stakes and protective deer fencing, will be distributed after the workshop.
This program is supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Healthy Urban Tree Canopy Initiative.
