Bagpiper Michael Henry, a Strongsville resident, will commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day (the end of World War II) by playing two songs on May 8 at the VFW Post 3345 on Strongsville Boulevard. .
Pipers around the world are being encouraged to play at 3 p.m. local time that day. Henry will play two songs, "When the Battle's Oer" and "VE75," a tune composed especially for this event.
