Profile of Michael J. Daymut, Ward 1 Councilman; President of Council
Michael Daymut has been a resident of Strongsville for the past thirty seven years and has had the pleasure of serving as Councilman in Ward 1 for the past nineteen years. He was the council representative to the Strongsville Planning Commission for seven years. Michael is currently chairman of the Economic Development and Technology Committee and also serves on the Building and Utilities Committee, the Planning, Zoning and Engineering Committee, the Public Service and Conservation Committee and the Recreation and Community Services Committee. Profile of Jim Carbone, Ward 3 Councilman
Jim Carbone has called Strongsville his home for the past 34 years, moving into the city with his family in December of 1978. Jim is proud to have gone through the Strongsville schools starting in kindergarten and graduating from Strongsville High School in 1991. After graduation Jim attended Cuyahoga Community College and the University of Toledo. In August of 1994 Jim attended the police academy and became a member of the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department. In 1998 Jim became a North Olmsted Police Officer and is currently assigned as a School Resource Officer.
Jim has always taken great pride in working with and for the people. Jim has served on three homeowners associations and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Historical Society, Optimist Club, and works the Homecoming as a tent manager.
Jim is excited to bring a new point of view, vision and energy to Council. Jim's top priority will be listening to the people and being a great representative for them.
Jim and his wife Alison have been married since July of 2006 and have a son, Michael Anthony. Jim and Alison are both long-time Strongsville residents and look forward to raising their son in Strongsville.

Profile of J. Scott Maloney, Ward 4 Councilman
Scott Maloney is a Northeast Ohio native, and has made Strongsville home for the past seven years with his wife Vicki, and sons David and Andrew. Scott has a Bachelor of Science in General Business degree from Miami University (Ohio), an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College, and has worked for over twenty years in financial services, currently as an operations executive for Equity Trust in Berea, OH.
Scott joined City Council in January 2011, and currently chairs the Planning, Zoning and Engineering Committee. He is the council representative to the Planning Commission, the Shade Tree Commission, and the Town Center Commission. He is also a member of the following City Council Committees: Communications and Technology; Finance; and Public Safety and Health. Profile of Ken Dooner, Councilman-At-Large; President Pro Tem
Ken Dooner and his wife Anna have been residents of the City of Strongsville since 1980. They have three grown children - Katie, Kelly and Kyle. Ken has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Kent State University. He has twenty-four years experience in running his own businesses. Currently, he is President of KMD Sales, Inc. Profile of Duke Southworth, Councilman-At-Large
John "Duke" Southworth was appointed to Council in June of 2011. Duke is the Chair of the Recreation and Community Services Committee and also serves on the Building and Utilities Committee and the Public Safety and Health Committee.
Duke has lived in Strongsville since 1998. He graduated with a Bachelors degree from Miami University and a law degree from The Ohio State University. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Ohio.
