Sgt. Lee Colegrove stopped by Whitney Elementary School June 1 as part of his community policing duties and saw the kids outside having a jump rope contest. He quickly jumped into action, showing off his rope-skipping skills while students cheered.
It wasn't enough for a trophy, though. "Sadly, I only got a participation award and didn't place," Colegrove said.
